Diet Vs Exercise, Which is More Important?
I get asked quite a bit, which is more important; diet or exercise? Is it 30-70, 50-50, 80-20? I promise there’s an answer coming….I just have to rant a little first
When we ask, which is more important? There’s an underlying idea that we can afford to disregard one or the other. If it’s 80% exercise, I should focus on exercise, and vice-versa. If you’re in this mindset, take a step back and have a look at what you’re really hoping to achieve with changing your lifestyle
Exercise does fantastic thing for the body, Food & Nutrition also does fantastic things for the body. When we focus on what both of these can (and should) do for us, all the cogs start moving together
It’s not 50% of each, or even 80-20; it’s 100% of both that we need to focus on.
If you’re looking to achieve the best results, no matter what you’re training for; both need to be on point.
Have you heard the saying, you can’t out train a bad diet?
It’s true, no matter how often you train, how hard you push yourself, or how many calories you burn; nutrition will limit your progress if you’re not paying attention.
Equally, we can’t out diet bad training.
You can eat organic foods at the perfect times of the day, with the exact number of Macronutrients required; if you’re not pushing yourself in training, nutrition won’t save you (I’ve learned this the hard way).
If you want to learn how to tailor your Food to get the most out of your body, without restriction, binges or depriving yourself, throw in an application to see if we’re suited to work together
Worst case, we can chat about the next steps you need to see better results
P.S. There’s still 50% off on my Udemy course, Nutrition 101 for Weight Loss. I cover the essentials of how to set up your Food & Nutrition to support your health, training & performance while creating long-term fat loss;
